Midnight Dance
We laughed; like nobody was on this earth, just as
and we drank Baron Deley red wine from Spain
and danced, and danced on the spacious balcony
almost elevated on the top of the tall building
where we nearly could touch the sky, and yet
under celestial navigation, where
lights flicker from the windows of skyscrapers
like stars and planets on a warm July evening.
You've been whispering seductive words
in your soft voice, and I was catching them with my lips
like oxygen, which I cannot live without
and fresh like the summer's lilac breeze.
We became One a long time ago, dependent upon each other
as a tree with the soil, fish and ocean, or sail and the wind.
Never apart but always individual, so distinctive, and so
meaningless without each other.
You will sail the ship, and I will blow windless melodies
so we can slowly travel the vast ocean
with astro-inertial guidance, and only one thing we will
leave behind, is our precious seedling
so it will grow into an individual tree.
